This study adopts a quasi-experimental design, targeting nursing students in the transition from secondary to higher vocational education, to explore the impact of the integrated teaching model on their caring ability and core competencies. Results show that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in multiple indicators such as nursing caring ability, cognition, courage, patience, and core competencies of registered nurses, with better performance in core course scores and practical skills. The research provides empirical evidence for nursing education reform.
